A client from Tulsa brought is 2004 Jeep Wrangler to Boomers Audio to have his audio system upgraded. Like most Jeeps, once the top is removed from the vehicle, the factory audio system simply isn’t loud enough to overcome wind noise. The client chose us after looking at our website and reading our online reviews. He stopped into the store the next day and met with a member of our sales team and had a listen to some new speakers. He was immediately impressed.
The installation started with the removal of the factory speakers and radio. We installed a Kenwood KMR-M318BT marine radio in the dash. We made a custom amp rack in the factory subwoofer location for a pair of Hertz amplifiers. One amp powers four new Hertz speakers and the second powers a subwoofer. This amp location keeps them protected from the elements and doesn’t take up any space in the vehicle. We fabricated a weather resistant enclosure for the system’s subwoofer.
The client was thrilled with how the new system sounds. It is much clearer and gets good and loud. Contact us here to get started on a new audio system for your Jeep.
